On June 23, 2022 we were in Kharkiv together with a Macedonian journalist who was documenting our humanitarian work. The building where we stayed for the night was in the Novi Domy district, we were on the 8th floor facing Belgorod. We saw several Russian missile launches, at least two of which landed in Khariv... Unfortunately, while the GoPro is a good camera, it doesn't have a zoom. But the footage and sound are enough to get a sense of what it looked like and felt like. In June 2022, we were active in Kharkiv in supporting civilians who had been severely harmed by the Russian war of aggression, which is inhuman and in violation of international law. There we met a person whose house was destroyed in a Russian attack and now has to live in a small tool shed. As it turned out during a conversation, he was one of the last remaining liquidators of Chernobyl... One of the few remaining liquidators of Chernobyl living in war torn Kharkiv.
After DHL left us out in the rain, we were finally able to transport the packages to Kyiv with the friendly help of the management of the German warehouse of Ukraine Aid Ops (https://ukraineaidops.org). Only with the help of our donors were we able to deliver a power generator, a diesel heater, a power station, several power banks and chargers to Vova. As a token of friendship and appreciation, Vova was additionally surprised with a complete set of uniform and body armor funded by our founder Chris.
